Once more, we are proud to make the announcement of the addition of a new sport in our catalogue. As usually happens, the televization of events increases their popularity exponentially. And this is the case with the darts. Recently, a few matches made it to the TV screens and immediately, the increase of interest led to their addition to all of the top Asian and European bookmakers. Inevitably, they were bound to be added in our platform as well.
Shooting the arrow not to the center
Typically, the sport is about shooting a set of 3 darts from a predefined distance to a board. However, in this case it is not about hitting the center or as close to it as possible. It’s an accumulation of points game, where the winner is the one that has gathered the most at the end of it. This is why the board is divided to 3 sections.
The center counts for 50 points, the ring around it counts for 25, the larger surfaces count for as many points as mentioned on the board. Hits in the inner thin area count for triple the number of the board, while the outer thin areas count for double. Effectively, the maximum points that any player can gather during a segment of a match called leg or set is 180.
Everyone can throw a dart
Darts is one of the few sports where the competitions are multisex. Meaning that you can see both men and women fighting at the same match. Originally, this was a primarily British sport, and it’s the reason that most of the word champions come from the island. However, recently, other nations are beginning to emerge with strong competitors challenging that domination. Phil Taylor is the legend in men having won 16 titles, while Trina Gulliver is his counterpart for women having claimed 10.
As the saying goes, the early bird gets the warm. In the betting world this translates to whoever registers for an account at the best betting platform now, gets to enjoy the thrill of the next tournament first. Once this announcement reaches the general public, it is more than likely that we will see a great influx of those that want to make some decent profit from the sport of darts.
